Support Analyst

Our client is a small but highly successful software company, whose products offer a unique solution for a range of problems across several market sectors.
They are seeking to recruit a support analyst to work with the technical director, offering technical support, user training and web management. You will already have some experience in customer support of standard Windows desktop environments, and an understanding of networking would be useful.
You will be able not only to communicate well verbally, but also have strong documentation skills, and ideally have experience of a scripting language such as VB.
Key Technical Skills
You will have solid experience of Windows to a good technical level; scripting language experience and experience of Web content management systems such as Joomla. An interest in, or experience of user training is desirable.
Personal Skills
With an analytical and methodical approach, you will have the ability to work on your own initiative, as well as being outgoing and confident on the telephone, with a good level of written English.
You will have good organisational and time management skills and a willingness to undertake travel to customer sites. A full UK driving licence is therefore required.
The job:
- Act as the primary point of contact for client support, via website, helpdesk, telephone and email.
- Escalate support issues as necessary
- Document support issues to facilitate timely resolution
- Build a knowledge base for clients, encompassing the range of products offered by the company
- Review client documentation
- Carry out ad hoc user training
- Maintain and update company website
