My client, a market leader in the engineering sector, needs to recruit a experienced document controller for their QA Department

Purpose of Role

To administrate the fundamentals of the quality system in R&D for document control, calibration and other quality assurance functions, as and when required.

Development of a Procedure for Document Control, covering:

  • Control on SharePoint
  • Version Control
  • Approval
  • Retention
  • Format

Document control on SharePoint for key Quality Documents

  • Marketing Requirements
  • Specifications
  • SOPs
  • Design / PLM documents
  • DFMEA
  • Test reports
  • Review History
  • Train others in the use of the SharePoint Site so that documents are correctly stored and version controlled
  • Administer the SharePoint Site so that one version of any document is available for use

Person Specification

  • Strong IT skills
  • Data Analysis
  • Working Knowledge of Quality Systems, in particular document controls
  • Self - Motivated

  • Project Leadership
  • Language and communication skills

Qualification, Skills and Experience

  • Experienced in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and ideally have experience in updating web pages
  • Strong Excel skills – pivot tables, charts and formulas
  • Ability to produce reports and Analysis results for trends and pending actions
  • Working knowledge of an ISO based Quality System is desirable
  • Develops role and own responsibilities. Takes initiative for action and communicating
  • Ability to work with R&D and across functions
  • Ability to lead this change initiative
  • Excellent knowledge of English language both written and verbal in a business context
  • Understanding of cultural norms in UK. Knowledge of alternative cultures and languages an advantage
