Based in Cambridgeshire, our client is a world leader in industrial print systems development, and their technology is used worldwide in a wide range of print applications.

Purpose of Role

  • Provide electronics technical lead into new product architecture team
  • Own the specification, design and validation of digital and analogue hardware driving the company's inkjet printheads, delivered within a timescale agreed with the group/project manager and adhering to product development lifecycle process and design and validation standards
  • To support the Technical Support team in facilitating the inkjet printhead’s integration and use by customers

Key Accountabilities

  • To architect, create and review design specifications for digital and analogue hardware as required in the product development process
  • Design and validate well documented, structured, modular, maintainable, robust digital and analogue hardware
  • Analyse and fix complex hardware and systems issues
  • Assist our client’s customers in the integration of printheads drive electronics.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

  • 1st or 2.1 Class Honours degree in Electronic Engineering
  • A minimum of five years of experience in the design and implementation of digital and analogue hardware in a commercial organisation
  • In depth knowledge and practice on
    • High speed digital design (DDR,CPU)
    • FPGA design using ,VHDL
    • ASIC development
    • Micro controller and C for embedded systems
    • Schematic capture and knowledge of layout techniques for analogue and high-speed circuits
    • Design to meet ESD and EMC standards
